Typical use cases

Established retailer launching a serious online channel

A multi-location retailer needs more than a storefront — real-time inventory, consistent pricing across channels, and returns handled cleanly. They come to us after an in-house WooCommerce build starts breaking under actual order volume.

D2C brand hitting operational limits at scale

A direct-to-consumer brand has product-market fit and is growing fast, but the platform can't handle promotional spikes and the ERP isn't talking to the checkout. They reach out when Black Friday becomes a fire drill instead of a revenue event.

B2B distributor replacing email-based ordering

A distributor with a 10,000+ SKU catalog still takes orders by email or sales rep. They need a B2B portal with customer-specific pricing, order minimums, and direct ERP integration — and something more robust than an extended Magento plugin.

Vertical marketplace built from scratch

An operator wants to aggregate sellers in a specific niche — spare parts, crafts, specialty food — with commission management, seller onboarding, and split payments. They find us when they realize a standard shop with extensions won't cut it.

Frequently asked questions

Do you only build on Shopify, or can you go fully custom?

It depends on order volume, catalog complexity, and how much control you need over the codebase. Shopify Plus handles most D2C scenarios well up to a certain scale. When you need complex pricing logic, multi-vendor architecture, or non-standard ERP integration, we work headless — commercetools or a custom stack. We pick the right tool after scoping your requirements, not by default.

How do you handle traffic spikes during sales events?

We build on cloud-native infrastructure with horizontal autoscaling and properly configured CDN layers. Before any planned spike, we run load tests against realistic traffic scenarios. We don't promise uptime in the abstract — we define measurable SLAs, stress-test them before go-live, and monitor production with active alerting.

How long does an ERP integration actually take?

It depends on the ERP, the quality of available APIs, and how many data flows need to sync — typically orders, inventory, product data, and pricing. A well-documented SAP or Dynamics integration takes roughly 6–10 weeks. If the ERP has no native APIs, we add a middleware layer. The real risk isn't timeline — it's source data quality, which we assess at the start.

What does semantic search actually mean for an e-commerce operation?

It means the search engine understands intent, not just exact keywords. A customer searching 'comfortable walking shoes' finds relevant products even if those words don't appear in the product description. We implement this with vector indexes and embedding models. Measurable outcomes: lower zero-results rate and better conversion on long-tail searches.

Do you stay involved after launch or hand off and move on?

Both models are available. We can deliver with a structured handover to your internal team, or we can run ongoing support contracts with defined SLAs. Many clients opt for a continuous development retainer — monthly sprints covering A/B testing, performance tuning, and new features. We agree on the model before the project starts, not after.
